Tree Pod dining could easily become one of the most novel ways to enjoy a romantic dinner or a long lazy lunch among the tree tops ... and that’s exactly what guests at the Six Senses’ Soneva Kiri will be doing. Located on the remote Thai island of Kood, Soneva Kiri is a luxury holiday destination set amid the lush tropical rainforests off the south-east coast of the Gulf of Siam. While the resort offers guests an array of dining experiences and resort activities, we just love the look of the tree pod dining.

Set high among the tree tops, tree pod dining is an innovative way to experience a meal. Situated 16 feet (5 meters) off the ground, the dining pod is surrounded by lush tree tops and views of the surrounding sandy beaches. The pod is constructed with a rigid frame that is wrapped in woven rattan and can accommodate up to four diners. Guests can relax and enjoy the panorama while their food and drinks are delivered by a "flying" waiter, harnessed to a zip-line.

While this experience is definitely one-of-a-kind, it is not the only unique dining experience happening at Soneva Kiri. This Easter, guests will have the opportunity to dine with Buzz Aldrin and Sir Robin Knox-Johnston - the second man on the moon meets round-the-world yachtsman. The historic dinner will take place over the Easter weekend, where guests are invited to dine with these two legendary adventurers.

A night for two at Soneva Kiri starts from US$950 and includes scheduled air transfers, three meals daily with house brand alcohol or soft drinks, minibar, in-villa wireless, laundry service, selected resort activities and the chance to dine in the tree-top dining pod.
